Sri Ram Katha, presented by nearly 25 senior students of the academy and choreographed by Artistic Director Prabha Raghavan, was a huge hit! The costumes, dancing, and choreography came together with phenominal music and lighting. .

Sri Ram Katha presents the stories of the Ramayana, one of India’s two great epics. It is centred around Rama, the noble and righteous son of King Dasharatha of Ayodhya, and the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. The Ramayana details Rama’s struggle with the demon Ravana as he attempts to rescue his kidnapped wife Sita. Beyond a simple tale of good versus evil, the Ramayana emphasizes the importance of upholding one’s dharma, or duty, through the depiction of Rama as a selfless son, a devoted spouse, and an able ruler.
